Abuse Policy

Last updated: 5 September 2026

1. Purpose and scope

This policy explains prohibited use and how to report suspected abuse involving POWER SERVERS virtual servers, domains and DNS services. It complements our Terms of Service and any applicable order conditions. Our ability to act depends on the service we actually provide; hosting a website, supplying DNS and registering a domain are different roles.

2. Prohibited activity

Customers must not use our services to conduct, facilitate or knowingly support:

Security testing must be authorised by the relevant system owners and stay within its agreed scope. Customers must secure their systems and address compromises affecting others.

3. How to report abuse

Contact POWER SERVERS with the subject “Abuse report” and the affected domain or IP address. Include:

For phishing, identify the impersonated service and exact offending URL. For network attacks, provide source and destination IPs, ports and timestamps. For copyright complaints, identify the protected work, the specific offending location and your authority to report it.

Do not attach executable malware, passwords, unnecessary personal data or illegal imagery. For suspected child sexual abuse material, provide the location without downloading or redistributing the material and report it to the appropriate authorities. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services; this contact channel is not an emergency response service.

4. Assessment and action

We assess reports for relevance, available evidence, severity and our role in the service. We may request clarification or notify the affected customer where appropriate. A report alone does not establish a violation, and content disputes may require a court order or another competent process.

Proportionate measures may include requesting remediation, restricting the affected resource, suspending a service, coordinating with an upstream provider or registrar, or terminating a service for a serious or repeated breach. Urgent containment may be necessary without advance notice where there is an active threat or a legal requirement. Where appropriate and practicable, we give the customer notice and an opportunity to respond.

Response and resolution times depend on severity, the evidence available and third-party involvement. This policy does not promise a fixed response time or guarantee removal of content outside our control.

5. Domains and third-party services

If we provide only domain registration or DNS, we may be unable to remove particular content from the hosting server. We may refer a substantiated issue to the responsible provider or act within the services and contractual authority available to us. Registry and registrar rules may apply. This policy does not claim that POWER SERVERS is an ICANN-accredited registrar.

6. Information handling

Abuse reports are handled for investigation, security and legal purposes as described in our Privacy Policy. Relevant evidence may need to be shared with an affected customer, upstream provider, registrar, rights adviser or competent authority. We seek to limit unnecessary disclosure but cannot promise absolute confidentiality. Tell us if disclosing your identity could create a safety risk.

We do not provide private customer details to a reporter merely because a complaint is submitted. Disclosure requires an appropriate legal basis. Retention depends on investigation, remediation and applicable legal needs.

7. Customer response and review

If your service is affected, reply with the report reference, your explanation, supporting evidence and steps taken to resolve the issue. You may request a review of a restriction by contacting POWER SERVERS. We will consider relevant new information; restrictions may remain while a serious risk or legal requirement continues.

8. Good-faith reporting and contact

Submit accurate reports in good faith. Do not fabricate evidence or use the reporting process to harass others. Unsubstantiated or repetitive reports may require further evidence before additional action is possible.
